Preparing your Properties
After you've established your basic hierarchy, it's a good time to prepare your list of properties.
We suggest making a list of all of the properties your system currently measures, similar to the one below…
Media | Property | Range |
---|---|---|
Water | Pressure | 0-2000 kPa |
Water | Temperature | 0-100 Deg C |
Oil | Pressure | 0-500 BAR |
Oil | Temperature | 0-250 Deg C |
Wind | Speed | 0-200 m/s |
This gives you all of the information required to add your properties to ARDI.
It's important to remember to group your properties when creating them - this helps differentiate your water pressure from your oil pressure.
For example, when creating the properties in ARDI, you should end up with….
Property Name |
---|
Pressure - Water |
Pressure - Oil |
Temperature - Water |
Temperature - Oil |
Speed - Wind |
The ' - ' (space, dash, space) tells ARDI that you're describing several different types of a measurement, so that there is no confusion between oil and water pressures when visualising your information.
