Overall
Large Language Models are very good at coming up with scenarios such as identifying points of failure or highlighting potential issues in systems. As such, they make a great tool for creating templates for common types of engineering report.
In this example, we created a HAZOP report, highlighting potential issues when inputs into our machine are unavailable, limited, excessive or reversed. The report has been created in Word and is filled in with a few simple ideas – ready for our team to go through and add much needed details.
This is not a complete report – or even anything like one – but is a huge time-saver when starting the process.

Example
This report was created using this ARDI-provided prompt, written into Claude.
You can see the prompt on the ARDI paint line demo site.
