Starter Edition Restrictions
What are the limits of the free Starter Edition?
Starter Edition is designed to give you a small but practical version of ARDI for simple applications. It is intended to help you solve minor-scale issues, and to let organisations test the platform before deciding to purchase a Standard or Enterprise license.
While we try to give you a lot of freedom in what you can do and try, there are some limitations of the Starter Edition.
The starter edition of ARDI only allows very small application sizes of up to 25 active assets.
This is usually enough to create value and solve a specific issue. But you will often need to consider a paid license if you want to expand your solution to more areas.
Paid editions of ARDI offer multi-site or multi-tennant servers. This allows you to have several independent ARDI databases on the one server.
This can be extremely useful when you have many small, isolated systems instead of a single large system.
Paid editions of ARDI allow you to make custom home-pages. This makes it easier for your users to navigate to their most valuable data visualisations, and lets you personalise and add branding to the users experience.
Certain addons are unavailable or have restrictions when being used in Starter Edition.
For example, our addons for automatic correlation detection (Correlia), AI creation (QuickAI) and root-cause-analysis (Timeline) are not available for Starter Edition customers.
Likewise, some features such as reports and infographics are limited.
To help reduce abuse of the Starter Edition, we only allow a limited number of Starter licenses to be connected to a single customer account/email.
If you have a legitimate need for larger numbers of Starter Edition ARDI licenses (for educational use, for example), please contact us and provide us with details.
