Correlia
ARDIs asset and data-point correlation engine.
Correlia is a toolkit designed to help detect correlations between your various data-points.
It’s used to help understand, investigate and discover the connections between your data-points from a unique and wide-ranging perspective.
You can use this information to help find opportunities for process improvement across your site, by compensating for the effects the system detects.
Given a range of time to investigate, Correlia looks at all of your data across every source, and compares every point of information against all others using a variety of different analytic methods.
Imagine a person looking at every combination of values you measure, creating scatter-plots and calculations, looking for clusters or linear relationships between each possible pair of data points.
You’ll then have access to per-asset correlation details, showing you which other points of information across your system appear to be directly or indirectly related.
When combined with structural information from the ARDI system, you can find…
It can produce results in minutes that would take a group of engineers or data analysts weeks to collect manually.
This helps the system identify relationships where engineers simply wouldn’t even consider looking – particularly when it comes to non-sensor data.
Leaving no stone unturned has a disadvantage – you’ll have more noise in your results. Some correlations are painfully obvious, and some are purely coincidence. Correlia can help with noise by investigating how genuine a correlation may be using your relationships – checking for physical and logical connections between the assets that would allow an interaction.
