LLMTools

The LLMTools addon allows our dedicated ARDI Chat program and 3rd party systems to use ARDI data inside Large Language Models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok or Llama.

We provide a series of REST API functions designed to be called by AI agents to…

• Search for and validate assets,
• Get detailed asset information and status,
• Understand asset context – ie, the systems that the asset is a part of,
• Access asset media and extract text from documentation (ie. manuals),
• Download asset data history,
• Access documentation on building interactive displays and reports

This allows LLMs to interact with ARDI servers to autonomously search for assets based on plain English instructions, answer questions, build displays and create reports.

Although we may create an MCP wrapper for ARDI in the future, there are several limitations of the Model Context Protocol. We’ve added a number of additional features that help radically reduce hallucination, but these are not available if we were to follow the MCP standard.

A chat interface can be quite awkward when you’re in the field, on mobile devices, have accessibility issues or are simply not sure what to say.

For these users, we offer LLMInsight, which adds commonly used prompts to the ARDI web interface, allowing people to get plain-English reports, suggestions and alerts wherever they are.
